The British School of Navarra
This international school in Spain is one of the 11 schools in the British Schools Foundation (BSF), one of the largest networks of top‐tier British schools in the world today.
Since opening in 2010, the school has become the school of choice for expatriate and Spanish parents looking to provide their children with an international education in Pamplona. It is growing year‐on‐year and in September 2017 they opened Year 10, increasing the age range from Pre‐Nursery further into Key Stage 4.
The current building is a purpose built school some 15 minutes walk from the historic centre of Pamplona. In July 2018 they will move to a much larger campus with state‐of‐the‐art facilities just a few kilometres away.
Curriculum:
The school follows the English National Curriculum, adapted to an international environment. However, the school regards this as a minimum requirement and provides many additional opportunities for personal development. Sports, music, drama, educational visits and residential trips are all an integral part of the programme offered.
Small class sizes allow teachers to focus on the individual needs of each pupil. All teachers have outstanding professional credentials from the UK with relevant experience in delivering the English National Curriculum. English speaking assistant teachers also support each class.
Accreditation:
The school is registered with the Ministry of Education in Spain and the National Association of British Schools in Spain (NABSS). It is also a fully accredited member of Council of British International Schools (COBIS).
All BSF schools are required to be inspected by the Independent School Inspectorate (ISI). Their sister school in Russia, The International School of Moscow (ISM) achieved a truly outstanding ISI inspection report in October 2013 being recognised as an excellent school in all aspects of the report.
