St Francis College
This international school is committed to offering and providing excellence in an all round education for present and future generations in cooperation with the parents, the family and the community. The learning environment is designed to nurture success and encourage students to develop and exploit fully their talents in the academic, moral, aesthetic, physical and social contexts and to contribute actively to society as a well rounded person. Through provision for individual student needs, they will develop young people able to adapt to a rapidly changing domestic and international scene. They believe in student self-esteem and confidence through academic merit and achievements including the participation in creative, athletic and other extracurricular activities.
Curriculum
Through the MYP they provide a programme of study that stresses self-discipline, skills and challenging standards, whilst allowing for creativity and self-expression. Some students will have the opportunity to sit International General Certificate of Secondary Education (lGCSE) examinations in selected subjects. This holistic approach will continue into Years 11 and 12 with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, which is accepted by universities worldwide, and which also meets the Brazilian Ensino Medio requirements.
