British School Manila
This international school in the Philippines first opened its doors in 1976 with only 36 students. Today the school caters for approximately 951 students, representing over 50 different nationalities from the age of 3 to 18 years.
The school has a strong sense of community where emphasis is placed on family and core values. Students are encouraged to fulfil their potential through a broad and balanced curriculum but also to develop at their own rate where learning is personalised, fun and children are nurtured. Classrooms are built on a cluster design to maintain the friendly 'small school feeling' and class sizes are no more than 22 students.
This school has excellent facilities including light and spacious classrooms all with interactive whiteboards, science laboratories, a technology suite, music and drama studio, ICT suites, learning resource centres, 2 canteens and outside play areas. Sports facilities include a swimming pool, full size grass soccer field and full size artificial turf soccer field.
The school also offers a wide range of extra curricular activities and opportunities such as residential camps, visual and performing arts, service programmes and sports programme.
Curriculum
The school follows the UK Curriculum from Early Years Foundation Stage through to IGCSE Level. The IB programme is offered from years 12 to 13.
