Welcome to the TIC weekly blog, a great way of keeping up to date on our latest news and publicity. It's been a very busy week at TIC, so there's plenty to catch up on.
New Contracts, Renewed Contracts and more!
We're very pleased to announce that TIC has secured an exclusive contract with Cayman Prep and High School, one of the top schools in the Cayman Islands. With a history of providing high quality education in the Cayman Islands for over 60 years, we are very excited to work in partnership with Cayman Prep and High School to ensure the best teachers get the placements best suited to them. Keep an eye out in our vacancies section for some of the exciting new opportunities that will become available there!
As well as our new contract in the Cayman Islands, we're happy to say that we've renewed our contract with the International Schools London Group (ISL) for a third consecutive year. Over the past 12 months, Teachers International Consultancy placed 25 teachers in ISL schools, mainly in their school in Doha, Qatar. We look forward to continuing our successful partnership, providing the best quality teachers to the highly regarded ISL schools.
Congratulations are in order for Andrew Wigford, director of Teachers International Consultancy, who has become an official COBIS mentor. As a COBIS mentor, Andrew will draw on over 25 years of experience leading in international schools to offer recruitment support to leadership teams in COBIS schools. Andrew is one of only 13 COBIS mentors and he is looking forward to this new role .

TIC Teachers' Case Studies Receive International Attention
Two of TIC's teachers have been featured in international education articles in the past week. Gerry Young was featured on the International School Community Website where he talked about some of the incredible experiences he had teaching and living in Mauritius and Bangkok. "We never realised the possibilities that were out there to develop our careers as well as to travel and see different countries and cultures – to live them rather than just pass through them,” says Gerry in the feature. "In a word, adventure!" he adds. To read all about Gerry's experiences, visit the International School Community website, which features stories from a number of TIC teachers as well as a wide range of informative articles about teaching internationally.
Jane Smith has made the move from China to the glorious climate of Malaysia, where she is the Deputy Head at the brand new Epsom College. Jane has been featured on the International Education Malaysia website, where she details the exciting opportunities that are on offer when leading at a new school. "Having the chance to work on a new school from the ground up; on designs for the ‘perfect prep’ is a once in a lifetime chance," she says in the article. "The school will be a truly international school and will be a rich and inspiring learning environment for our pupils which will make it a stimulating and rewarding place to work.” To find out more about Jane’s experiences and also the increasing opportunities for teaching in Malaysia, visit the International Education Malaysia website.
One Year Anniversary of the Stanwell Road TIC Office
We're all very excited as this week will see us celebrate the first anniversary of TIC’s Stanwell Road office in Penarth, Wales and we will be having a staff party to celebrate! With a lot of hard work and effort, our office has become a dynamic hub for international education recruitment, so it's time to congratulate ourselves! Here's hoping for many more successful years in TIC’s Stanwell Road HQ!
