This international school in Vienna is a comprehensive, state-of-the-art school which provides children aged 3 to 19 with an inspiring, high-quality education in a caring, multicultural community. The school is located in the north east of Vienna, one of Europe's most beautiful and historical cities, very close to the headquarters of the United Nations.

They have a tradition of curriculum development and innovation offering all three programmes of the International Baccalaureate. The final two years of these programmes, taught in G11-G12, lead to the award of the IB Diploma, a qualification recognized and sought after by universities around the world. Students acquire 21st century skills to enable them to thrive in an increasingly mobile and interdependent world.

The schools students represent more than 100 nationalities, and speak over seventy mother tongue languages. While they are a secular school, they host believers of every world religion and respect their beliefs. In a multicultural and multilingual environment, with English as the language of instruction, no culture dominates and they are greatly enriched by this diversity. Their approach to education highlights a commitment to activities both during and outside the school day that connect students to our local community as well as with schools throughout Europe and the world.

The school provides a caring and supportive home to 1400 students. They enjoy a low student-teacher ratio with a dedicated staff trained and experienced in teaching the IB curricula and able to help each student reach his or her individual potential.

Facilities:

The school moved to its current campus in Vienna's 22nd district near the United Nations in 1984. The school buildings include an independent Early Learning Centre, a Primary School wing, and a Secondary School wing. In addition, there is a newly developed Innovation Centre; multiple art studios and music rooms; seven recently modernised science laboratories; a food technology centre; five Apple computer resource rooms; two well-stocked central libraries and an audio-visual media centre. The School recently refurbished its 220 seat theatre. They offer a full day programme of nutritious meals prepared onsite in our own kitchen, and have five gymnasia which include a competition size basketball court. Outside there is a playing field and running track, two all-weather sports areas, three playgrounds, an outdoor theatre arena, and a small ecology lab.
