Teachers International Consultancy has appointed a representative on the ground in Doha to support the growing number of expatriate teachers it is sending to Qatar.

Previously an expat teacher herself in the Middle East, Hailey Fazekas has joined TIC Recruitment to provide expert help and advice to new and established expat teachers working in the country. “The expatriate teaching community in Qatar is huge,” says Andrew Wigford, Managing Director of Teachers International Consultancy. “When you are new to a country that you’re going to be living and working in, it can be daunting at times. Having someone like Hailey, who has lived and worked there for several years and knows exactly what these teachers will be going through, can be a crucial source of reassurance as well as information. It also provides an important resource for the schools who now know that there’s counselling and advice beyond the immediate needs of the school community to support their new recruits. ”

For the past two years Hailey has managed Leading Out, a support and recruitment company for Canadian expatriate teachers. Previously she was a teacher at the Qatar Foundation. She has lived in Qatar since 2009.
