These global and regional international school associations set standards for the schools that are members, some offer accreditation, and several provide professional development support for the teachers and leader within their member schools:

ECIS – European Council of International Schools

AISH – The Association of International School Heads

NESA – Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools

FOBISIA – Federation of British International Schools in Asia

MEIBA – Middle East International Baccalaureate Association

IBSCA – International Baccalaureate Schools and Colleges Association of the UK and Ireland

LAHC – Latin American Heads Conference  (representing British schools in Latin America)

AISA – Association of International Schools in Africa

TRI – A group of 3 regional education associations: Association of American Schools of Central America (AASCA), Association of Colombian-Caribbean American Schools (ACCAS), Association of American Schools in Mexico (ASOMEX)

NABSS – National Association of British Schools in Spain
